Business Situation

AT&T was seeking a seamless solution to provide deskside support for 156,000 AT&T/SBC employees to reduce costs, leverage existing SBC tools and internal personnel, and incorporate diversity involvement.

Solution

Apex teamed with Global IT Partner who is SBC’s prime contractor to propose deskside solution incorporating over 100 Apex deskside technicians and several hundred SBC personnel to provide helpdesk, deskside, and installation services to approximately 156,000 employees across 1800 sites throughout the continental United States.    AT&T/SBC subsequently awarded a five-year $200 million dollar contract to Global IT Partner and Apex.
